Merck will establish a production facility for raw materials used in the Asia-Pacific bio process in Korea. Merck Life Sciences (CEO Mathias Heinzel) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Daejeon Metropolitan City on the 3rd to establish a new bio-process production facility in Daejeon to support pharmaceutical and bio-ecosystems in the Asia-Pacific region and concentrate production.
Matthias Heinzel, CEO and board member of Merck Life Sciences, said, "Korea is an emerging global leader in the biotechnology industry, and this memorandum of understanding reflects Merck's commitment to actively support our customers in the Asia-Pacific region."
